No regrets.

"Boy! You look tired!"

You can only hear that so many times in a day before it starts sounding like:
"Boy! You look like shit!"

"Yeah? Well, screw you, too..."

No Rest for the Wicked

I got an e-mail from Darcy this morning and Viola! I'm writing again. Or will be.
I just got this from Darcy:

Okay, team! We have our writers for "24 HOUR THEATER V"

Jeremy Gable
Darcy Hogan
Joe "Smash" Dunham
Emily Brauer-Rogers
Abbe Loomer

We'll be meeting at the theater at 11:00pm on Saturday night, September 2nd. As always, be sure to bring pillows, snacks, etc. This is the first 24 Hour Theater (I think) wherein ALL of us writers are veterans of previous 24 Hour Theaters. YAY!

PS: Since this time around we are all veterans, this 24 Hour Theater is going to have a slight twist! It will be fun ... you'll find out what the "twist" is on the night of our lockdown. Woooaaaahaaahaaa!

Here's the timeline, just so you have it ...

WRITERS (5): Commitment - 11:00pm Friday to 9:30am on SaturdayThe writers will have 7.5 hours to write a show based on prompts provided by the PROMPT COLLECTOR. They will arrive at 11:30pm on Friday night, and must have a 10 - 20 minute script written, based on the selected prompts, by 6:30am the following morning. At 6:30, the writers will collect their scripts and make copies (one copy for each ACTOR required for the piece, one copy for the DIRECTOR, and one copy for the TECHNICIAN). Yes, it's overnight in a business park, but it's typically really fun! After casting begins at 9:30am, the writers are free to go home and sleep. They can return to the theater Saturday night to watch their show. (Writers can also volunteer as PROGRAM DESIGNER or as HOUSEMANAGER. And, if they really, really want to, the writers can also participate as actors IF we do not have enough actors arrive in the morning.

TIMELINE >>>>
* 11:00pm - Writers gather at theater & draw prompts
*11:30pm - Prompt gatherer leaves, writing begins (writers-only at the theater)

The Hardest Thing in The World

Doing what you know needs to be done.
Choosing Passion over Security.
Backing out of the wrong thing.
Turing your back on the Real Thing.
Hiding the Pain.
Going Forward.
Fighting the Good Fight when you already know the outcome.
Smiling.
Thinking about the Future.
Replacing something incomparable.
